When students look like a dancer they feel like a dancer. Uniforms are very important to the learning process in becoming a dancer. By wearing the correct uniform and being neatly groomed students are not only learning discipline but more importantly it is a vital part of Carey School of Dance’s commitment to safe dance practice. By wearing the correct footwear parents and students can be assured that their child’s feet are being supported during class and by wearing the uniform teachers are more easily able to see and correct body alignment and ensure students are using the correct muscles during exercises and dances. Baggy clothing and ill-fitting footwear does not only impede the teacher’s ability to assess mistakes and make corrections but can be dangerous for young dancers. Please download our uniform policy for more information. |
